Marks Hall Estate is a beautiful heritage landscape covering over 2,350 acres of  North Essex countryside, with the estate's history tracing back to 1086. The estate is managed and cared for by a charitable trust, and is funded by its admissions fees and ticketed events. Their aim - to connect people with nature and inspire generations to become ambassadors for the environment. The Markshall Estate strives to advance our knowledge of the natural environment and to be leaders in conservation, education, research and climate action.

The onsite restaurant, The Orchard Kitchen café, serves meals and light refreshments  throughout the day for a great day out or a quick lunch and the onsite retail supports local artists and photographers.
